have you used indigo before? i'm wondering how different the two really are since lux spawned off of indigo

Blender
Indigo

AMD Phenom X4 9950 Black Edition OC'd @ 15*200Mhz (3.0Ghz)

oh and here is my gallery :D

Yes, and i have to say they are about equal, i just find luxrender much more user friendly, and it has much more easy to configure lighting set ups. Some people say Indigo has a better prender but i find that is only when dealing with older CPU's cuz luxrender takes hours, even on my Quadcore.
try it out, cant hurt and very fun to mess around with.

Lux spawned from pbrt, not from Indigo. Now Indigo goes commercial, and Lux is free and opensource.
:icondacksoldier:
...lux the person... was active on the indigo forums before he started to develop lux renderer on his own everything is pretty much the same and that is why i say lux spawned off of indigo... and pbrt has never been available on blender

Either way, until i get the almost 4k for 3dsmax, blender and a secondary render system such as luxrender suit me just fine.

This looks outstanding! I am almost afraid that it will jump off the screen and inject me. You have some great talent. Keep it up :)
